Northwestern prepares to meet Sioux Falls

October 7, 2004 By admin

A pair of top ten teams in N-A-I-A matchup this weekend as Northwestern visits the University of Sioux Falls in a Great Plains Conference showdown. Something has to give in this one. Sioux Falls is averaging 39 points per game while the Northwestern defense has yielded only one touchdown in five games.Northwestern coach Orv Otten says it’s an outstanding matchup between two top ten ranked teams. Northwestern is ranked 10th and Sioux Falls is ranked 2nd. The Red Raider defense has already tallied 14 interceptions and 18 sacks in five games. He says that takes the ball away from the other team and also creates a short field for their offense, giving them a great opportunity to score points.
