The Iowa Hawkeyes will go further down the depth chart at tailback for this week’s trip to Penn State. Marcus Simmons injured an ankle in Saturday’s 33-7 win over Ohio State and coach Kirk Ferentz says he will have an M-R-I this afternoon. He becomes the fourth Iowa tailback to be sidelined by an injury this season. Ferentz says he won’t even speculate on when Simmons would be back.Ferentz says the Hawks have also lost a member of the receiving corps, as Calvin Davis who was injured in the Michigan State game will have surgery on his knew. He says Davis will miss three months, effectively ending his season. Ferentz says the Hawks did a good job of rebounding after losses to Arizona State and Michigan and now must show they can handle success. He says everyone is happy with the win, but he says players have to go back to work He says they have to have their eyes on the road or it’s a dangerous path.
