John Edwards makes quick stop in Des Moines

November 1, 2004 By admin

Democrat Vice-presidential candidate John Edwards made a quick stop in Des Moines today. Edwards visited the democrat campaign headquarters and spoke to volunteers there for just over two minutes before shaking a few hands and leaving. He says, “I want to say on behalf of John and myself, a personal thank-you to all of you for everything you’ve done, all the hard work you’ve done. It’s so important, important to Iowa and all of the country.” Edwards asked the volunteers to work one more day. Edwards says Iowa got their campaign going with a win in the caucuses. He says,”You have had an enourmous effect on us. On John, on myself and as a result you’re gonna have an enormous impact on the country.” Edwards left Des Moines to campaign in Cinncinati, Ohio.
