The Iowa Hawkeyes will use the same formula to get ready for the Capital One Bowl as they did last year’s Outback Bowl which ended with an impressive win over Florida. Two yeatrs ago the players were allowed to go home for Christmas before leaving for the Orange Bowl. Last year, the Hawks spent Christmas in Tampa and they will do the same in Orlando. Senior defensive back Sean Considine says everyones in the weight room doing their presses and curls trying to get a “beach body” before heading out. He says hopefully they’ll prepare well and go down an perform well, as he says they don’t want a performance like they had in the Orange Bowl. He says last year’s schedule helped get them ready for the game. Considine says they were more business like when they went to the Outback Bowl last year and that approach paid off . Iowa plays defending national champion LSU and with a victory would finish with ten or more wins for the third straight year and would assure them anothe top ten finish.
