Injured Drake guard could return

December 16, 2004 By admin

The Drake men return to action next Monday at Southern Utah and the Bulldogs could get a boost with the return of Nick Grant. The sophomore guard has been sidelined since being injured in a pre-season practice in late October. Bulldog coach Tom Davis says it may take some time for him to get back into game shape. He says when you’ve been out as long as Grant you don’t know how long it will take. Davis says he’s sure Grant will work hard to get back as he can.Grant averaged more than eight points per game as a freshman and will be a welcomed addition for a Drake team that is 2-4 on the season. Davis says he’s pretty explosive going to the basket, and he says they’ve missed that.
