The Iowa State Cyclones have the week off before returning to Big-12 action this weekend against Colorado. The Cyclones dropped their third consecutive game to open the league race with an 83-73 loss at Oklahoma State on Sunday. In that game Cyclone coach Wayne Morgan was ejected with about 12-minutes remaining after receiving two tecnical fouls. Morgan says he meant to get the first one but did not intend to get thrown out. He says it’s been his experience when you get the first technical, it gives you leeway to let them know what you’re really unhappy about. Morgan says he was surprised by the second technical. He says he thought the way the game was going that he needed to emphatically advocate for his kids at the time. Morgan says the week off will allow more practice time as they look to improve. He says the thing he likes about his team is that they’re palying hard and haven’t lost the confidence that they can win.Iowa State is 8-6 overall.
