Two teams looking to bounce back from heart breaking losses collide tonight as UNI visits Southwest Missouri State in Missouri Valley action. The Panthers are 3-2 in conference play after having an 11-game home winning streak snapped by a shot at the horn in a one point loss to Creighton. These teams are not strangers. UNI won the first matchup with the Bears 68-63 last Wednesday night in the dome. UNI coach Greg McDermott says the games that are a few days appart seem to happen now and then in the league because of the way the schedule falls. It has been a series of close losses for Southwest Missouri in conference play, the latest a 61-60 loss at unbeaten Southern Illinois following a Saluki three-pointer at the horn. McDermott says both teams feel they can compete for the conference championship, so it puts a lot of pressure on those games.
