Law enforcement authorities in Monona County have recovered a valuable statue reported stolen from a local cemetery last fall. On Wednesday, Onawa police and Monona County sheriff’s authorities recovered a bronze statue valued at about 3-thousand dollars from a home in Sioux City. Officials say the statue was stolen from the Onawa cemetery back on September 17. The incident remains under investigation by Onawa police, and they say charges are pending.
