Cedar Rapids and Sioux City still alive in USHL playoffs

April 19, 2005 By admin

The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders and Sioux City Musketeers will open the semifinal round of the U.S. Hockey League playoffs at home on Wednesday night. Cedar Rapids opens the best-of-five against Chicago. The Steel rallied from a two games to none deficit to oust defending champion Waterloo after a 3-2 overtime victory in a fifth and deciding game. Waterloo coach P.K. O’Handley says it was a dissapointing end to a great season where both teams protected their home ice. Sioux City will host the Tri City Storm in game one of their best-of-five on Wednesday night.
