Kemps recalling some ice cream

June 17, 2005 By admin

Summer starts next week, so it almost seems like a cruel joke that there’s a recall on ice cream. Minneapolis-based Kemps is recalling half-gallon packages of its Bakery Classics French Silk Pie ice cream — due to allergy concerns. The product contains wheat, to which some people can have a serious allergic reaction, but wheat’s not listed on the label. Cartons with all expiration dates are affected by the recall. No illnesses are reported. The recalled ice cream was sold through supermarkets in Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa and seven other states. The product comes in half-gallon square paper packages with a U-P-C code of 41483 00407.
