A western Iowa man is being held in the Shelby County Jail following an incident this week in which he allegedly threatened a neighbor with a handgun. Forty-year-old Andrew Lentis was arrested by Harlan police after officers responded to a report of shots being fired at a local residence. Lentis is accused of pointing a handgun at a neighbor and then threatening to shoot the neighbor, forcing him to flee as Lentis allegedly discharged the weapon. When police arrived on the scene, Lentis reportedly became involved in a scuffle with the investigating officers before eventually being subdued. During the scuffle, Lentis reportedly suffered a head injury and was taken to a local hospital for treatment before being transported to jail. Lentis was arrested by police on charges of aggravated assault, going armed with intent and being in possession of a firearm as a felon. His wife, 32-year-old Wendy, was charged with aiding and abetting a felon in possession of a firearm.
