A northwest Iowa man accused of shooting up his family’s minivan is pleading not guilty to all charges. Attorneys for Richard Guidry of Havelock entered his written pleas on September 30th. He’s charged with three counts of attempted murder, three counts of willful injury, intimidation with a dangerous weapon and child endangerment. Guidry is accused of ramming his family’s mini van north of Pocahontas and firing gun shots through the windshield. His two-year son, estranged wife and her boyfriend were all injured in the August 9th incident. Pocahontas County Attorney Ann Beneke says the trial is set for November 8th. She doubts it will begin as scheduled because the defense plans to interview several witnesses. Guidry remains in the Pocahontas County Jail.
