ISU loses starts Big 12 0-2

October 10, 2005 By admin

The Iowa State Cyclones hope to shake the effects of an 0-2 start in Big-12 play when they visit Missouri this weekend. A couple of turnovers proved costly in ISU’S 23-13 loss to Baylor on Saturday, giving the Bears their first conference road victory since the Big-12 was formed. One of the biggest turning points came when Cyclone running back Greg Coleman fumbled into the end zone trying to score and Baylor recovered for a touch back. Coleman says it’s a killer loss after the heartbreaker against Nebraska. Defensive end Jason Berryman says the Cyclones need to bounce back. He says football is a game of execution and they didn’t execute like they should. He says a good team is able to take a loss an regroup. Motivation should not be a problem for the Cyclones. It was an overtime loss to the Tigers that kept them from earning a trip to the Big-12 championship game.
