Man dies after climbing out of truck on I-80

A Michigan man is dead this morning after authorities say he climbed out of a moving vehicle on Interstate 80 near Adair. The Iowa State Patrol says 60-year old Clifford Karl Baker, of Reed City, Michigan died, when, for reasons unknown, he climbed out of the bed of a pickup as it was traveling westbound on the interstate at about 3:40 A.M., near the Adair exit at mile market 75. Baker was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
