A judge in the federal child pornography trial of Brian Street has approved another request for a delay — with the case now slated to go to trial in December. Defense attorney Attorney Angela Campbell had asked for the delay because they felt more time was needed for investigation and to prepare for trial. Thursday’s decision marks the fifth time Street’s trial has undergone a continuance. Previous trial dates had been set for June 27th, August first, October third, and most recently, October 31st. Street has been charged with six counts of sexual exploitation of a child and possession of c hild pornography. His step-daughter, Tracey Dyess, has admitted to setting fire to her family’s home in Griswold, on March 31st, 2005. She told authorities she was trying to kill Street, who she says sexually abused her and took sexually explicit photographs of her. Dyess’ 13-year-old sister and six-year-old nephew died in the blaze. Her trial was to have begun October 25th, but earlier this month, a judge reset the date to February 21st.
