Suspect in Boone shooting arrested in Osceola

November 7, 2005 By admin

The suspect in a Boone shooting has been found. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation announced shortly before 11 o’clock this morning that Dustin Lynn Road was taken into custody in Osceola. Boone cops say Road posed as a private investigator and shot a man in his home in Boone early Sunday morning. Road, who is 25 years old, was admitted to the Clarke County Hospital in Osceola for an apparent overdose. Hospital staff recognized him from media reports of the Boone shooting and alerted police. Road has been transferred to a Des Moines hospital and has been charged with one county of attempted murder. The man he shot in the stomach remains in the hospital.
