Students help out with tornado cleanup

November 14, 2005 By admin

A lot of people are chipping in to help with the cleanup following tornadoes that struck north-central Iowa this weekend. Students from the Webster City middle and high schools, students from Northeast Hamilton of Blairsburg and Southeast Hamilton of Jewell districts have converged on Stratford to help with the cleanup. Meetings are planned tonight for parents of Stratford elementary students to talk about plans to reopen the school. Officials say power and natural gas service should be back on in Stratford sometime today.
