I-S-U receiver looking for extra Houston Bowl tickets

December 28, 2005 By admin

Iowa State wide receiver Austin Flynn is hoping to fill his ticket quota for Saturday’s Houston Bowl against TCU. Flynn grew up in the Houston area and needs a lot more than the six tickets each player is provided for a bowl game. He says he wants as many as he can get and would take 30 or 40, but it’s looking like he’ll get 20 or 30.

Flynn says he and the other players from the Houston area have been talking to many of the players from the state of Iowa to see if they have any left over. Flynn says this will be his first chance to be inside Reliant Stadium. He says he’s never been there, as the first year he came to I-S-U was the first year the Texans started playing in the stadium. The Cyclones are 7-4 and are looking to post consecutive bowl victories for the first time.
