Iowa State women face key games

January 25, 2006 By admin

The Iowa State women open a critical week at home tonight when they host ninth ranked and defending national champion Baylor. These teams have hooked up in some high scoring affairs in the past and ISU coach Bill Fennelly is looking for more defense tonight, as he says for some reason in the past the scores have been pretty high. Fennelly says their attention to detail has to be good as Baylor has a lot of weapons.

The Cyclones are 3-2 in the Big-12 and will close the week against Kansas State. He says after K-State they’ll evaluate things to start February, but right now he says they want to finish January out on a strong note.
Iowa State is 12-4 overall.
