January 27, 2006 By admin

The Iowa Hawkeye women dropped to 5-4 in the Big Ten after a 72-61 loss at Penn State. The Nittany Lions hit 56-percent of their shots for the game. Iowa coach Lisa Bluder says their defense and rebounding wasn’t very good. She says they had no answer for Amanda Brown.

The Hawkeyes are off until next weekend when they host nationally ranked Purdue.Bluder says they’re going to have to learn to play defense and block out. Bluder says they’re not playing very well right now and they’re going to have to figure that out. The Hawks are 12-8 overall.
