Man accused of Fort Dodge murder, arson pleads "not guilty"

January 31, 2006 By admin

The man accused of attacking a Fort Dodge woman and setting her house on fire earlier this month pleaded “not guilty” on Monday. Thirty-five-year-old Sessions Lamont Harper entered the plea through his court-appointed attorney. He faces charges of attempted murder, sexual abuse and arson.

Twenty-two-year-old Holly Michael died last week at University Hospitals in Iowa City, where she was in critical condition following the incident. Prosecutors are considering changing the attempted murder charge to a murder charge. Harper’s trial date is set for March 28th. Michael’s funeral is this morning in Fort Dodge.
