I-S-U women hit the road to Nebraska

February 1, 2006 By admin

The Iowa State women are on the road tonight in the Big-12 to play Nebraska. Both teams are 3-4 in the league race and the Cyclones won the first matchup with the Huskers in Ames. I-S-U coach Bill Fennelly says it’s been an odd series in which they’ve had success in Ames and not much success in Lincoln.

The Cyclones are coming off a disappointing loss at home to Kansas State and Fennelly says it is a game the Cyclones need to put behind them. He says they can’t let the loss hurt them again in the next game. Fennelly says it’s a hard thing to do to get beat badly and bounce back. But, he says basketball is a sport where you have a quick turnaround and you have to learn to do it.
Iowa State is 12-6 overall.
