U-N-I football coach given contract extension, raise

U-N-I football coach Mark Farley has signed a contract extension with a salary increase to 150-thousand dollars. Farley’s contract was extended to 2010 and he could earn more then 180-thousand dollars by that time. Farley took the Panthers to the NCAA Division-one-double-A national championship game for the first time last fall.

The team finished 11-4 overall and set five school records. Farley, who was hired in 2001 and has won three Gateway Conference championships and he has a 44-20 overall record. Farley is a native of Waukon, who play for U-N-I.
