Trial date set for Denison man accused of sexual abuse

A trial date is set for a Denison man charged with sexually abusing a teenage girl. Twenty-two-year-old Cristian Rodriguez-Salazar was arraigned in Crawford County District Court yesterday (Monday), at which time he pleaded not guilty to a charge of third-degree sexual abuse.

Rodriguez-Salazar is accused of engaging in a sex act with a 14-year-old girl at a Denison apartment on February 27th. If convicted, Rodriguez-Salazar could face 10 years in prison. The case is set to go to trial on May 23rd.
