Evansdale police officer is subject of DCI probe

July 27, 2006 By admin

The Black Hawk County Attorney’s office has asked state officials to investigate a police officer from the Waterloo suburb of Evansdale. The Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation won’t say why the officer is being investigated. The D-C-I recently completed its inquiry. State investigators plan to forward a report to the county attorney, who will decide whether to take action. The mayor of Evansdale says he’s unaware of allegations of improper activity on the part of a city police officer. The officer’s identity won’t be made public unless charges are filed.
