Minnesota coach says he expects Iowa’s best

November 15, 2006 By admin

Minnesota can lay claim to Floyd of Rosedale and qualify for a bowl game this weekend when the Gophers host Iowa. Minnesota has won two straight and stands 5-6 overall.

Gopher coach Glen Mason says they’re young and the season has been up and down. Mason says they played well in a stretch and didn’t win, and then had a slide. Mason says they’re playing for the “pig” and a bowl and they’d like to keep the winning streak going.

Mason says despite their recent struggles he expects the Hawkeyes to play well. Mason says be the coaches will have Iowa ready to give their best shot, just like his team will give their best shot.
