Iowa State women take state title with win

December 6, 2006 By admin

The Iowa State women have swept the in-state series after a 70-62 win over Drake last night in Hilton Coliseum. ISU coach Bill Fennelly says they’re really excited for the fans and he says it’s not easy to win all the in-state games.

The Cyclones improve to 6-1 and it marks the second straight year that Iowa State has won all of their in-state games. Fennelly says that’s something they’re very proud of, as it gives them some bragging rights. With the loss Drake falls to 4-2.
