Dordt ranked 10th in latest NAIA poll

December 7, 2006 By admin

Dordt College is ranked tenth in the latest NAIA division two men’s basketball poll. Dordt is 9-2 after an overtime loss to Buena Vista Wednesday night that snapped the defenders nine-game win streak.

Dordt coach Greg Van Soelen says they had to replace some key guys, so it is a surprise to do so well early on. Van Soelen says a number of young players have had to adjust to the college level. He says defensively they’ve had to adjust their intensity and he says the overall intensity has to be higher in the college game.

Dordt is unbeaten in Great Plains Conference action and returns to the league race on Saturday by hosting Briar Cliff.
