Cedar Falls auctioning hot car seized in crime

December 8, 2006 By admin

A sporty car that was involved in a cross-state sex crime case is now on the auction block. The city of Cedar Falls is selling a 2006 Dodge Charger R/T and is taking sealed bids to get it off their hands.

The yellow and black-trimmed car was seized and forfeited earlier this year after a western Iowa man attempted to meet up with a supposed teen on the internet for sex. The city is asking a minimum bid of 22-thousand dollars for the car, which has only four-thousand miles on it, a spoiler, heated front seats and a power sunroof.

Bids need to be submitted to the city of Cedar Falls? Department of Administrative Services, Attention: Jennifer Rodenbeck, by 4 o?clock on December 28th.
