Iowa women make comeback

January 12, 2007 By admin

The Iowa Hawkeye women are now three-for-three on the road in the Big Ten. The Hawks roared back from an 11 point second half deficit to down Indiana 61-57.

Iowa coach Lisa Bluder who says the comeback was started with defense, and says to be able to do that makes her extremely proud. Bluder says the team just kept working hard in the second half.

Bluder says they outrebounded Indiana by 9 in the second half, and that was a big factor in the game.

The Hawks are 3-2 in the Big Ten an 11-7 overall. They host 19th ranked Michigan State on Sunday.
