UNI football signs 15 Iowa players

February 12, 2007 By admin

The UNI football program was built using home grown talent and coach Mark Farley hit the state hard again this recruiting season. The Panther recruiting class features 15 Iowa high school players. Farley says they made a commitment to get a core group of players they could build around for the future. Farley says it was the right time to to do.

Farley also signed ten players from the junior college ranks that he says will help them next season. Five of the junior college players are on defense. Farley says they went out of the state and signed some receivers and defensive backs.

Farley says he likes the class he’s signed and says the core values of the Iowa players are probably more important than their athleticism.
