Waterloo doctor charged with possessing meth

April 4, 2007 By admin

A Waterloo doctor is facing drug charges after a search of two Waterloo homes. Officers with the tri-county drug enforcement task force found more than five kilograms of methamphetamine while searching the two Waterloo homes this morning. Doctor Mark Louvier is charged with two counts of drug possession and a violation of the drug tax stamp law.

Officials estimate the street value of the meth to be $950,000. During their search of the two homes, officials say they recovered several firearms. The early morning searches were part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the Cedar Valley.
