Fort Dodge man dies in accident

July 12, 2007 By admin

The name of the person killed in last night’s pickup-semi crash in Webster County is now being released.  The accident happened just after 8:30 on Highway 169, eight miles north of Fort Dodge. The name of the person killed is 49-year-old Steven Hedeen of Fort Dodge.

Reportedly, the 1978 Dodge pickup truck driven by Hedeen was heading southbound on 169 when he crossed the center line into the path of a 2001 International semi operated by John Studer of Rolfe.

Hedeen was thrown from his vehicle and was rushed to Trinity Regional Medical Center where he died of his injuries. Studer was also taken to the hospital for treatment. The Webster County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the investigation.
