A pair of motorcycle accidents in north-central Iowa over the weekend left two men dead. A 41-year-old Osage man was killed back on Friday afternoon in a motorcycle accident near New Haven. The Mitchell County Sheriff’s Department says Kyle Wyatt failed to negotiate a curve and crashed.
Wyatt was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Meanwhile a Dougherty man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Cerro Gordo County yesterday morning. The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department received a 9-1-1 call from a motorist at about 5:25 Sunday morning that reported a motorcycle in the ditch in the southeastern part of the county.
The driver of the motorcycle was identified as 46-year-old David Abell, who was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. From the preliminary investigation, Abell drove off the roadway and collided with the ditch, sustaining fatal injuries. Both accidents remain under investigation.
