Sioux City man convicted of drunk boating in fatal accident

September 27, 2007 By admin

A northwest Iowa man will spend time in prison for piloting a boat involved in a fatal accident. A Sioux City man faces up to 25 years in prison after being convicted in connection with a fatal boating accident on the Missouri River last year.

Thirty-year-old Justin Nguyen was determined to be intoxicated while operating the craft that hit a wing dam. The boat flipped over and killed 21-year-old Sihn Do. Another passenger and Nguyen were not injured. Nguyen is scheduled for sentencing in November.
