Sixteen arrested by Marshalltown police on identity theft charges

Marshalltown police have released information on 16 people arrested on identity theft and forgery charges Friday at the Monsanto facility in Grinnell.

Police say employment documents were obtained from a Marshalltown employment agency and an investigation shows fradulent information was used to get the documents. Assistant Police Chief Jack McAllister says they’ve been investigating the issue for the last two months. The 16 people are being held in the Marshall County jail.
