Upper Iowa wrestlers have high expectations

December 12, 2007 By admin

The Upper Iowa wrestling team has lofty expectations heading into the start of their dual season. Coach Heath Grimm’s team is ranked sixth nationally in division two and will be at home on Sunday against Truman State. Grimm says they do have high expectations and goals and have confidence coming off the national tournament last year.

Grimm says they have a number of experienced competitors back from a year ago, as eight guys qualified for the national tournament, and five of the qualifiers are coming back. Grimm says the wrestlers are looking forward to the dual season and take a lot of pride in team success. He says it’s time to "play the game" and he thinks they get more out of the sport in the team aspect of competing and gaining points for your team.
