Comeback falls short for Iowa women

January 7, 2008 By admin

The Iowa Hawkeye women had a furious second half rally come up short against 20th ranked Ohio State. Trailing 46-29 at the halftime break, the Hawks rallied to within three in the final minute before the Buckeyes won it 73-65.

Iowa coach Lisa Bluder says they played better defense in the second half, but unfortunately couldn’t come back after the poor first half. Bluder credits a change in attitude from the second half rally. She says they just got out there and got after it and "quit let them walk all over us."

Iowa falls to 2-2 in the Big Ten.
