UNI pitcher honored after tossing a no hitter

The honors keep pouring in for UNI junior pitcher Nick Kirk who tossed a no-hitter last Friday in the Panther’s 3-0 win over Evansville. It was the Panther’s first nine inning no-hitter since the program moved to division one.

Kirk has been named the Missouri Valley Conference player of the week and also was named Louisville Slugger’s national player of the week. UNI assistant coach Marty Sutherland who says the numbers show just how dominant Kirk was. The Panthers are scheduled to host Grand View in a non conference game on Wednesday afternoon.
