Council Bluffs man dies after motorcyle/deer accident

A Council Bluffs man died over the weekend from injuries he suffered Friday after the motorcycle he was riding in Pottawattamie County hit a deer. Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s officials say 49-year-old Timothy Rae Volentine died Sunday at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Volentine was traveling west on Highway 92 late Friday night, when the Yamaha motorcycle he was driving hit a deer near the intersection with 260th Street. The collision killed the deer and seriously injured Volentine, who was not wearing a helmet.
