Lolo Jones excited about returning home to run at Drake

April 10, 2008 By admin

Des Moines native Lolo Jones will return to the Drake Relays this month. The former Roosevelt High school and LSU standout is coming off an indoor season that was capped off by a world championship in the 60 meter hurdles.

Jones says she is looking forward to competing in her home town as she doesn’t get back much due to her training. Now people who have never seen her get the chance to see her compete. Jones says while winning the world title was a thrill her focus has now shifted to making the U.S. Olympic team. She hopes to use the World Championships as a stepping stone to do well in the Olympics.

Jones will take part in the invitational 100 hurdles.
