4A: Kayla Gaunt, Muscatine

The freshman pitcher won five of six decisions and in 30 and a third innings of work gave up only two earned runs and struck out 23 batters. Gaunt tossed a four-hit shutout in a victory over Bettendorf and followed that up with a four hit shutout in a victory over Washington.
