Truck with Iowa plates found loaded with pot in Nebraska

July 10, 2008 By admin

A trooper with the Nebraska State Patrol pulled over the pickup truck with Iowa plates on Wednesday for speeding on Interstate 80 in Lincoln. The driver took off on foot into a marshy area and despite a two-hour search, including the use of helicopter, more troopers and the Lincoln police, was never found.

Drug-sniffing dogs did make a find though, eight bales of marijuana weighing 187 pounds were in the back of the pickup. The man’s driver’s license was also found. It says he’s from New York. The truck may’ve been stolen in Iowa.
