Nebraska man confesses to Iowa murder

August 19, 2008 By admin

A man in Nebraska has confessed to a murder in southwest Iowa. Nemaha County, Nebraska, officials are working with Council Bluffs police as they investigate the death of a man who’s identified as 62-year-old Richard Griffin.

Neighbors say another man who had been trying to turn his life around had been living with Griffin. Monday afternoon, 44-year-old Scott Reed apparently walked into the Nemaha County Sheriff’s office and said he’d killed a man in Council Bluffs. Police there went to the address and found Griffin dead. Reed is facing second-degree murder charges in Pottawattamie County.
