Fire bomb in Sioux City thought to be gang related

October 23, 2008 By admin

Investigators in Sioux City say a firebomb thrown at a home Tuesday night is thought to be gang related. Lieutenant Marti Rielly of the Sioux City Police Department says someone threw a molotov cocktail through the window of the apartment.

Rielly says the residents were home at the time of the fire, but were able to get out without any injuries. He says it the fire did create damage within the home and had the potential to cause serious injury or death.

Rielly says the fire is being investigated as an arson and his department is continuing to interview people as they search for a suspect.
