Cyclones look to snap 6 game skid

February 11, 2009 By admin

Iowa State will try to snap a six-game losing skid at home tonight against Colorado. Both teams are 1-7 in the Big-12 though Cyclone coach Greg McDermott says the Buffaloes have been competitive on the road. McDerMott says besides the game at Missouri to start the year, Colorado has been in every conference game.

Colorado won the first matchup with the Cyclones 55-49 in Boulder. McDermott says they impose their will on you with what they do offensively, and he says you have to try and outlast them, as they will run through 30 seconds of the shot clock.

Colorado coach Jeff Bzdelik says his young team is making progress as they have good energy and a willingness to learn.

I.S.U. is 12-11 overall. Colorado is 9-13.
