One killed in accident in Mills County

One person was killed Wednesday evening during an accident in a construction zone on Interstate 29 in southwest Iowa’s Mills County. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2004 Hyundai was southbound on I-29, about 5-miles northwest of Glenwood, when the car left the roadway and hit a Caterpillar road milling machine.

The accident happened at around 5:10 P.M. The Patrol says the crash victim was not wearing their seat belt, and died at the scene. The name of the driver has not yet been released. The accident remains under investigation.
