Northwest Iowa man dies in accident

May 19, 2009 By admin

A northwest Iowa man died Monday morning when a car left a gravel road and rolled. The Sioux County Sheriff’s office investigated the accident which occurred one mile northeast of Hull.

Authorities say 30-year-old Jose Luis Lira-Barreto, who is believed to be a Hull area resident, lost control of the vehicle which went into the ditch and rolled several times. Authorities say he was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff’s office was assisted by Hull Fire and Ambulance and the Iowa State Patrol.
