June 12, 2009 By admin

The 14th annual Marathon to Marathon is Saturday morning when nearly 400 people will run from Storm Lake to Marathon.Organizer Marilyn Johnson says they have runners registered so far from 34 states, a record number of states, plus Canada. She says 161 will run the full marathon, 78 will run the half marathon, 104 will run the 5K.

The marathon and marathon relay leave Storm Lake Saturday morning at six. There’s a five-K run-walk, beginning at eight in Marathon. Johnson says there will be plenty of activities Saturday in Marathon. Runners can pickup packets and late entrants can still register Friday from 5:30 to eight p.m. at the Storm Lake High School.

The Marathon events begin first thing Saturday morning at six o’clock. The Marathon is U.S.A. Track and Field Certified and Sanctioned.
