Cyclones to face one of the top defenders at Nebraska

October 22, 2009 By Todd Kimm

Iowa State’s offensive line has been a strength this season but that unit will get a severe test this weekend when the Cyclones visit Nebraska. The Huskers boast a tough front seven, led by one of the nation’s top defensive linemen in 300 pound senior Ndamukong Suh.

I.S.U. quarterback Austen Arnaud says Suh is one of the best defensive tackles in the nation, but he says the Cyclone offensive line has been playing well and it is going to be “a war in the trenches all day.” Arnaud says Suh ia a disruptive force. He has nine tackles for loss this season and has broken up seven passes.

Arnaud says Suh has great hands and great feet and can throw off linemen who try to cut him. He says Nebraska has a tough defense all around that is very physical.
